Brandy's Musings

It's like my brain KNOWS. I have two migraines last week, followed by a sinus headache. As if I wanted to be extra prepared for the whole let's talk about head pain... But this book is MUCH MORE. It's about what we do--and don't--know about the brain! I can't wait to share this with you. I reviewed the book for the WSJ and really loved it, plus Tom is a treat! This Thursday at 7:00PM EST

PS: the mocktail for this show has some headache fighting properties!

AND NOW: for a show that will have you rethinking the pain in the head.

Show Deets: The Headache

video preview

What if one of the world's most common neurological disorders was also one of its least understood? Migraines. Cluster headaches. Disorders so devastating they can completely derail a life—yet they're often dismissed as 'just a headache.' In The Headache, science journalist Tom Zeller explores why medicine still has so few answers—and what new discoveries are beginning to reveal. Drawing from his own decades-long battle with cluster headaches, Zeller travels from cutting-edge clinics to clinical trials—and even explores experimental treatments—in search of relief. Join Peculiar Book Club for a fascinating conversation about pain, neuroscience, resilience, and why this hidden illness deserves to be taken seriously. LINK BELOW:
